Galaxy clusters

Why is the Universe accelerating? Why is gravity repulsive on cosmic scales? Is it because of dark energy, or does General Relativity break down?

Galaxy clusters are the highest density peaks in the Universe. I use weak gravitational lensing effect to measure their mass. The number density vs. mass of galaxy clusters reveals how cosmic structures evolve under the tug-of-war between dark matter and dark energy.

I use the data from the Dark Energy Survey, which has imaged 1/8 of the entire sky and thousands of galaxy clusters. I also develop theory and simulations to help us better understand the astrophysics of galaxy clusters.
